Account Status
Public
Default Setting: Your account is set to 'Public' by default in your profile, whether you're a registered user or logged in as a guest.
Privacy: Public accounts are listed in CRYPE's central contact book, making them searchable by any CRYPE user.
Communication: You can be contacted by other users for messaging (C-mails) or video conferences.
Private
Optional Setting: As a registered user, you can choose to set your account to 'Private' in your profile settings.
Privacy: Private accounts are not visible or searchable in the Crype directory.
Initiating Communication with a Private Account: While your account is set to private, you can initiate contact with users who have public accounts using C-mails or video calls. However, it's important to note that your account won't be visible in the global CRYPE contact book, meaning other users cannot find you and initiate communication.
Bidirectional Communication: When you connect with another users via a C-mail or call, they will be added to your Chat tab, enabling two-way communication. This allows both parties to initiate calls or send C-mails. If both users have their accounts set to 'Private', one of them will need to switch their account to 'Public' temporarily to establish the first contact, for example, by sending a C-mail. Once the initial communication is established, the user can change their account back to 'Private'.
Organization status
Privacy Options: For organizations, there is an additional privacy level parallel to the total private account option, available for divisions or members.
Specific Settings: Organizations can set their accounts to be:
- Visible to members in same Organization: Restricts search and communication to members within the organization.
- Visible to users within the same Division: By default, limits interactions to members of same division.
Closed Community: These options allow organizations to form a closed community. Members within an organization or division can be searched for and can communicate with each other. However, CRYPE users who are not part of the organization or division will not have visibility of these members. All communication is contingent on specific permissions, which must be granted by the organization's user administration.
This system ensures flexibility, privacy, and control over your visibility and interactions within the Crype community, catering to both individual users and organizational needs.
Guest User Access in Crype

Temporary Username: As a guest, you can log into Crype with a temporary username. If the username is already in use, please choose another one.
One-Time Use: Guest logins are intended for single-use sessions and are not linked to a persistent user identity, unlike formally registered accounts.
Privacy Assurance: No communication data will be stored on the device when using a temporary guest account.
Important Reminder: In line with CRYPE’s commitment to privacy, no information from your guest session is saved. Should you require any data from your session, please ensure to manually save it prior to ending the session.
